Elizabeth J. Gross
Graduate Student elizabeth.gross@emory.edu

Elizabeth grew up in Hillsborough, North Carolina and received her BA in Chemistry from North Carolina State University with a minor in Spanish. During her time at NC State, Elizabeth worked in Dr. Jun Ohata’s lab where she helped develop bioconjugation strategies in non-aqueous media. Her undergraduate research gave her a deep appreciation for the work that can be done at the interface of chemistry and biology. Elizabeth hopes to build on her chemical knowledge to develop biocatalysts that that are suitable for industrial processes. In her free time, Elizabeth likes to crochet, go to concerts, and watch college football (Go Pack!).
